Pay to win?

In the past, she made videos on YouTube regarding Clash Royale. Learning this new information, I was determined to play this game.

About the game

Clash Royale is a fast-paced brawler where you collect cards and duel players in real-time.

A typical Clash Royale game lasts for three minutes. The player wins a battle by destroying the towers to get crowns, each side has three towers, one king tower, and two princess towers. If the player destroys the opponent's King's Tower the other two Towers will be automatically destroyed as well, resulting in an automatic win.

To battle you have to collect cards; either by getting them from a chest or from buying them.

Battling

Cards are the only method of deploying troops and buildings while counter-attacking against damaging advances. A standard deck has 8 cards, out of which 1-3 are used to inflict direct damage upon troops or towers. Generally, these cards are temporary and can be cast anywhere. While troops and buildings can only be spawned on your

territory. To deploy any of these cards, Clash Royale has an Elixir system, they require Elixir. And your Elixir steadily increases throughout the game until it reaches 10. Each card can range from 1-9 Elixir. Every time you use a card it gradually decreases your Elixir.

Cons

There are a few cons while playing Clash Royale, such as

• Players

Clash Royale is known for its toxic players, as some Players with good cards purposely lose matches to go down rank until they reach a low rank to battle with new players. Or they'll do their very best to annoy you by sending laugh emotes or just harass you.

• Wi-fi

As you know, this is a real-time multiplayer game, having weak wifi with a time limit...this battle will not end well for you!

• Updates

Although an update may be a good thing- it could fix bugs and whatnot-your 'good card' may be the worst card in the game- no thanks to updates.

• Cards

You can't rely on the chests to get good cards as there are different rarities, you have to pay actual money to get the good cards.

Conclusion

Even though, it is a pay-to-win type of game, Clash Royale is fun and engaging! It's complex and interesting at its core, yet extremely easy to learn and understand.
